Training Programs Held for Women Micro Entrepreneurs on Business Management
As part of a project with SOPAR, a series of training sessions commenced in June for about 106 micro-entrepreneurs on how to scale and sustain their businesses. The training programs are designed for women who took micro-credit from our Women Integrated Development program’s Self Help Groups (SHGs) to set up micro-enterprises and live a comfortable and independent life.
Mogili Vijender, Manager, Social Entrepreneurship at the Bala Vikasa Center for Social and Responsible Business facilitated the first sessions of the series. The session focused on enhancing People Management Skills, Financial Management Skills, Sales and Marketing Skills, and Planning and Organisation Skills among women entrepreneurs.
“The training session helped us in understanding my business idea better and also the market. I can now interact better with my customers better and run my business more effectively. I look forward to other sessions in the series and learning more about business,” - Kavitha, Micro Entrepreneur
