New partnership with Bharath Financial Inclusion Limited to revive Water Purification Plants in Karnataka
Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited (BFIL) partnered with Bala Vikasa to revive 70 existing Water Purification Plants in 63 villages of the Kalaburagi district in Karnataka in November. As part of the project, Bala Vikasa will create awareness among rural communities on the importance of accessing safe water and the risk of water-borne diseases through village-level meetings and the distribution of IEC materials.
Bala Vikasa will also support the communities in forming special water committees, and capacity building of committees and operators through training for effective maintenance, monitoring, and evaluation of the water plants.
