Bala Vikasa Center for Social and Responsible Business(CSRB) launches its fourth incubation cohort - Promote and Incubate Social Enterprises (PrISE)
Bala Vikasa Center For Social and Responsible Business (CSRB) kick-started its fourth cohort - Promote and Incubate Social Enterprises (PrISE) with seven social startups working in health, agriculture, and other sectors in April.
PrISE, a nine-month non-funded incubation program is initiated to support social startups and budding social entrepreneurs in establishing and scaling their enterprises in collaboration with CSR partners, government agencies, and funding institutions. As an incubator, Bala Vikasa CSRB is providing the selected social startups and budding social entrepreneurs with a coworking space at its state-of-the-art campus in Keesara along with assistance and mentorship in the management and marketing of the enterprise. It will also connect the incubatees with industry experts, mentors, impact investors, and ecosystem enablers.
After a rigorous screening process, seven growth-stage startups were selected for the cohort.
Daily Labor, iCare Foundation, Karry Now, My Udaan, Elemantra, Jeevamrut and Dharani Life skills Pvt.Ltd were the selected startups.
Following the selection, a three-day induction program was held where the founders and co-founders of the startups were oriented on business development, product development, and financial management. Manoj Kumar Badagharwala, Product Development Expert and Startup Mentor, Sudhakar Sagi, Business Consultant, Shoury Reddy Singareddy, Executive Director of Bala Vikasa, and Rahul Bhardwaj, Senior Director of Bala Vikasa CSRB facilitated the orientation sessions.
As part of the second schedule of the program, mentoring sessions were conducted for the incubatees with industry professionals on Mental Health, Digital Marketing, Peer Learning, and Business Model Canvas.
Mentors Padmaja Penmetsa, Founder of Joypreneur, and Rishi Yadati, Founder and CEO of Think Prile, shared their insights during the sessions. The Social Entrepreneurship Team at Bala Vikasa CSRB facilitated the sessions of the second scheduled session.
