Financial Assistance and Grocery Kits Provided to Widows
To support rural poor widows in providing for themselves and their families we have distributed grocery kits to 310 widows and their children worth Rs 10 lakhs. Additionally, about 623 children of the widows were also provided with stationery and other school supplies to help them meet their educational needs with the support of SOPAR.
In another activity, financial assistance worth Rs 10 Lakhs was provided to 88 widows with the support of SOPAR and the generous contribution of individual donors. This aid will help rural poor and young widows to address their financial needs and also invest in a livelihood opportunity that would help them lead an independent and decent life.
