Nearly 300 rural poor widows receive financial assistance
A financial assistance of Rs 15,67,000 was distributed to 299 rural poor widows to support them in meeting their basic needs with the support of SOPAR along with grocery kits. The children of the widows, about 572 of them, were given stationery supplies to meet their educational needs.
The financial support was given as part of our annual activities to encourage rural poor young widows to become self-resilient, live an independent life and also provide for their families.
“Receiving not just the financial support but also grocery kits and stationery items in regular intervals is helping me slowly gain financial independence and stability. I am now able to provide for my children without worrying much about their educational needs. I am really thankful to Bala Viaksa and all its donors.”
