Community Water Purification Plants provide access to purified drinking water to rural communities in Maharashtra
In partnership with the Kamal Udwadia Foundation (KUF) we have set up two Community Water Purification Plants in Maharashtra. The water purification plant benefits about 2850 rural people providing them purified safe drinking water at an affordable cost of Rs 5 per 20 litres.
Awareness was created among the communities on the various water borne diseases caused due to consuming contaminated or high fluoride water. They were also trained in the right consumption and storage of purified water for daily consumption.
