Bala Vikasa Safe Water-Revolution Forges Full Steam Ahead Despite COVID19 Pandemic, 32 New CWPPs Inaugurated in 3 Months
We are proud to have inaugurated 32 new CWPPs, impacting 11,139 families or 55,695 beneficiaries in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana over the 3rd quarter ending December, despite COVID-19 pandemic-induced challenges.
We installed an eco-friendly UF-Technology-based water purification plant in Gangadevipalli Model Village in Warangal-Rural aimed at reducing water wastage and saving power. 150 beneficiary families participated during the awareness meeting and re-inauguration day last November. The CWPP will provide safe water access to 350 families in the area.
We inaugurated another WPP in Yellaipally, Chinna Kodur in Siddipet. The WPP, supported by a family from Italy, through SFC-Italy, is providing safe water to 220 families in the locality.
In addition to SFC Italy sponsoring one CWPP, Sopar funded 10, Chola supported 4, Franklin Templeton Mumbai provided funds for 10, and HDBFS sponsored 7 CWPPs.
We also conducted capacity-building training programs for 230 water committee members and machinery operators from 43 villages to improve their skills and knowledge in plant maintenance and operations.
