Bala Vikasa Supports Organic Farmers in Organising Organic Mela
A three-day Organic Mela was organised by the Rythu Vikasa Sendriya Uthapatti and Uthapathula Cooperative Society supported by Bala Vikasa to provide direct market access to the farmers and help them increase their income.
Vinay Bhaskar, MLA, Warangal West Constituency and Bala Vikasa Executive Director Shoury Reddy Singareddy inaugurated the Organic Mela held from August 13-15 at the Arts and Sciences College Ground, Hanamkonda, Warangal.
The Organic Mela offered a range of farm-fresh organic products like Rice, pluses, vegetables, oils, millets and manures.
“The organic mela has many varieties of different oils along with pulses. Though many products are labelled as organic these days, we don’t know how credible they are. Buying them directly from the farmers is very nice and makes us sure of the product.”
