As part of our efforts to create symbiotic alliances between academia, businesses, and nonprofits to promote business responsibility and social innovation for the upliftment of underprivileged rural Indian communities, we signed an MOU with the Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Hyderabad last December.
Bala Vikasa CSRB will undertake joint research, drive exchange of knowledge through workshops and seminars, and conduct CSR programs to promote Sustainability and Responsible Business for greater social impact. Bala Vikasa Executive Director Mr Shoury Reddy S, BVIC Lead Programs & Advisory Mr Vijay Kumar Machcha, IMT Professor & Dean ( Academics) Prof (Dr) Sriharsha Reddy and Assistant Professor and Area Chairperson Prof (Dr) Tulika Sharma signed the MOU.
We also conducted a training workshop on Sustainability and Community Development for the students, executives and faculty, marking the beginning of the new partnership. During the 2-hour session, we trained 50 participants in concepts relating to sustainability, climate change, responsible business, community development, volunteering, and impact measurement. Prof (Dr) Tulika Sharma said, “We thank Bala Vikasa CSRB for sharing valuable knowledge and providing a holistic coverage of the topics.”
