Capacity Building Sessions Conducted for Committee Members on Effective Implementation of Environment Initiatives
49 farmers from Andhra Pradesh who are committee members of the Tank Desiltation and Check Dam Construction participated in a training program on the implementation and management of their respective initiatives.
The training program was conducted to equip the committee members with the necessary skills to effectively manage, monitor and maintain the initiatives - excavated tanks and check dams. The training focused on briefing the farmers on the roles and responsibilities of the committee members, how to improve water storage for agricultural purposes, and daily consumption. The committee members were also trained to encourage their community members to actively participate in the initiatives and contribute to environment conservation and sustainability of the initiatives.
