Bala Vikasa assists communities to become Artificial Intelligence(AI) Ready as part of AI For All Campaign in partnership with Intel
To create awareness of Artificial Intelligence(AI) among communities, Intel conducted awareness workshops in various government schools and among rural communities with the support of Bala Vikasa, as an implementing partner. The workshops were conducted as part of the Artificial Intelligence(AI) for All initiative of Digital India, Ministry of Education, Central Board of Secondary Education, and Intel, with an objective to create digital readiness and instill a digital-first mindset among communities.
As part of the campaign, communities were assisted in understanding and practicing a 4-hour learning program AI For All which introduced the participants to the basics of AI, and its applications, and bust myths and misconceptions about AI. The learning program also provided knowledge on key domains of AI like Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and Statistical Data, and their impact on various industries, principles, and ethics of AI.
Through this initiative, Intel and Bala Vikasa made 17458 students, 672 teachers, and 218 non-teaching staff from 50 schools of 12 districts in Telangana AI ready. The participants were provided with an AI-ready certificate from the Ministry of Education and Intel.
“It was very exciting to learn and understand how AI is involved and can be used in our daily life. In times when AI is slowly becoming part of everything, it is very appreciative of the Ministry of Education, Intel, and Bala Vikasa to initiate this campaign. I am looking forward to applying what I have learned and maybe even building my career in AI.”
