Bala Vikasa CSRB Invited as Sector Expert to Mentor Social Innovators and Start-Ups at Social Impact Bootcamp 2020 organized by TSIC and T-Hub
Recognizing the strategic leadership of Bala Vikasa CSRB in Social Enterprise incubation in India, the Telangana State Innovation Cell (TSIC) and T-Hub invited us to partner with them on their 4-week Social Impact Bootcamp (SIB) 2020 conducted, last December, to provide mentorship to social startups and connect them to impact investors in the state.
We provided sector-specific mentorship and helped startups refine their pitches in the post-COVID new normal. CSRB Head Mr.Rahul Bhardwaj conducted a Social Impact Assessment Session for 64 SocEnts We also screened and selected potential participants for the CSRB In-House Incubation program.
Bala Vikasa CSRB also mentored 3 social startups on strategies for effective pitching for funding and achieving sustainability. In online training sessions conducted over 5 days, Mr. Bhardwaj mentored Yespoho India, a platform for handicrafts, Hesa Technologies, a Phygital marketplace for rural areas, and Srahi Ventures, supporters of the artisanal palmyra tree tapping community - in firming up effective pitches and strategies relating to achieving sustainability.
Social Impact Bootcamp (SIB) is a 4-week-long mentoring program for social startups and enterprises solving pressing social challenges while contributing towards sustainable development goals (SDGs). The boot camp provided social startups the opportunity to be mentored by some of the most prominent industry experts from the social impact space. The mentoring program culminated in a demo day where the startups had an opportunity to pitch to impact investors and government officials.
