1000 Flood Affected Families Supported with Material Assistance Sponsored by Amazon

1000 Flood Affected Families Supported with Material Assistance Sponsored by Amazon

The recent floods in Telangana have caused significant destruction displacing numerous families and leaving them without any basic facilities. In response to this, Amazon India and Donate Kart in collaboration with Bala Vikasa distributed relief kits and grocery kits to the flood victims of 5 villages including Ramachandrapuram, Kattu Kacharam and Surdepally in Khammam, Telangana.

500 grocery kits consisting of rice, toor dal, atta, cooking oil, sugar, salt, sooji, chilli powder , coriander powder and turmeric powder were distributed in Ramachandrapuram. A total of 500 relief kits consist of shelter essentials - HDPE Tarpaulin Sheet (12 x 18), Sleeping HDPE Tarpaulin sheet (12x9) and hygiene essentials - soaps, sanitary pads, tarpaulin, and other essential items in other villages. The kits were distributed to those who lost their homes and have no access to daily necessities.
