Plantation and Horticulture Activities Initiated with the Support of FAI
Bala Vikasa, in collaboration with First American India (FAI), is taking a significant step towards enhancing urban green cover. In the first phase, we distributed 300 saplings to 100 households in Thekkkampatti Village, Salem, Tamil Nadu. We have also planted around 100 saplings for avenue plantation.
100 employees of the FAI joined us on field during the distribution and plantation of the saplings in Salem, as part of the employee engagement program.
In continuation of the project, we facilitated a Horticulture training program to nearly 60 farmers from Telangana.
Tirupati, Program Manager at Bala Vikasa and Bal Reddy, a progressive farmer, facilitated the training program and an exposure visit focusing on the best practices of horticulture.
