Development Professionals From Four Countries Participate In A Capacity Building Program On Community Driven Development
About 11 NGOs from Bangladesh, Nigeria, Ethiopia and India participated in a ten-day Community Driven Development capacity-building course for impactful implementation of community-driven development projects.
The program focused on enhancing the skills of development professionals in applying the best learned practices in implementing development projects in their respective communities. The program is aimed to enforce that development is not driven by an organization but is people-centric and community-driven. The participants also enhanced their knowledge in different sustainable approaches and methodologies for Community-Driven Development.
“I have been working in a nonprofit organization for the last two years. I wish I had taken this course before so it would have helped me so much. Personally, I learned a lot of new things and developed a new perspective in approaching development projects. I am looking forward to applying all the sustainable development approaches I have learnt in the program in my community,” said Dereje Mergia, Compassion Ethiopica, Ethiopia.
