Celebrate With Those In Need

Share The Joy Of Your Special Occasions With Us

Vivek Elluru and Kruti Chheta, as they begin a new chapter in their life as husband and wife, decided to share the joy of their wedding with us. To mark this occasion, they donated Rs 1,00,000 to Bala Vikasa towards humanitarian relief and assistance for those who are underprivileged, specifically to support the education of widow’s children..

With this generous contribution, 212 children of 110 rural poor widows were given school. Vivek has been associated with Bala Vikasa, as a member of the Orphan Solidarity Club, for the last two years. He, together with his life partner, has come forward to support rural poor widows and their families giving them the hope of a better life.

It is these little acts of kindness that make a huge difference in the lives of our Vikasa Children and Vikasa Mothers giving them the courage and hope for a brighter future and a comfortable life.

The Need

Rural poor widows are mostly illiterate and are confined to home, and after their husband’s death often disowned by their-in-law, sometimes, even their own family. With no source of income to provide for themselves and their children, they often take up odd jobs while facing harsh discrimination for their widowhood from the society. These widows are struggling to make ends meet and are barely getting by life affording only the basic necessities.

The generosity and kind contribution from large-hearted individuals, will help them have a decent life and support them in providing a comfortable life for their children.

The Impact

Vivek and Kruti’s contribution brought smiles on the faces of hundreds of children and made a significant change in their life, supporting them in their education by giving them the required stationary items for school. Like they say, a small act of kindness does go a long way!

You could bring those smiles too!

Widows Speak

“We are so happy that two young people made a decision to help my children in their education as part of their wedding celebration. By giving us these gifts, we feel that they chose to make us too a part of their family. We sincerely appreciate their thoughtfulness and are very grateful for their support.”

“I couldn’t afford to buy a bag and my children were taking their books and stationery to school in a plastic cover. They would come home and complain to me that all other children at school have school bags except them. It would make me feel very bad that I couldn’t do much about it. It makes me feel very happy to receive these school bags as these would bring a smile on my children’s face. I thank Vivek and Kruti for coming forward to help us.”

I have three daughters but only my eldest daughter has a bag. Even that bag was ragged and two of my daughters were sharing that bag. One day both of them came home crying because the bag was torn and couldn’t really use it. When I decided to buy a new one I realized it costs as much as I earn in a day. Even then, I could only afford one for them. I was feeling very helpless about the situation. I am so happy that all my daughters will have a bag now. I am very grateful to Vivek and Kruti for their kindness
