Involvement and participation of all sections of people is very important to ensure sustainable development of any community. Youth not only have great potential but also high level of commitment towards a cause and are thus a great human asset in a community. Their active participation in the community helps accelerate growthand development. Bala Vikasa Youth Program aims at developing their personality by helping them gain self-confidence and self-esteem. Secondly, it motivates rural youth to become an integral part of the development process in their own communities and become true Agents of Change, primarily in the areas of the environment, health, sanitation and education. Bala Vikasa provides opportunities not only to develop themselves but also their families and communities. The Youth Program has reached out to 4,156 youth members who have been organized into 400 youth groups in 55 villages, coordinated by 10 program centers.
