Recognizing the importance of building professionalism among the change agents, Bala Vikasa established “ People Development Training Center” in the year 2002. Since its inception, PDTC has been striving to build the capacities of change agents working at gross root, national and international levels . The training methodology of PDTC is rooted in the rich experience gained by Bala Vikasa in implementing various training and development programs for more than two decades. With in a short period of its existence, PDTC is evolving as “ Center of Excellence” and gaining the recognition of the national and international development organizations.

The training imparted by PDTC follows a Result-Based Management approach that emphasizes an Iterative Process Management (IPM), through real participatory partnership. This approach, as ultimate goal, brings changes in the attitudes of the person.

Training programs : PDTC is building the capacities of the change agents working with NGOs, Government departments, CBOs etc. by designing and conducting innovative and relevant training programs. Conducting need based training programs and introducing the latest development approaches are contributing to the success of the PDTC training program. More than 100 NGOs from different parts of India benefit every year through our training programs.

Seminars and workshops : PDTC provides a platform for program target groups, NGOs, Government departments, CBOs, Donor organizations, etc. to discuss on the current issues and share their knowledge and experiences through regular seminars and workshop which are conducted bimonthly. The participants of these programs are able to better understand the issues and plan the programs effectively.

Diploma and Certificate courses: A six month diploma course in Community Based Development and also many other short term certificate training programs are being organized by Bala Vikasa for the benefit of the staff of the NGOs, people desiring to get involved in the development sector etc.

Research and Consultancy: PDTC offers consultancy services to development organizations in the sectors of program planning, monitoring and evaluations and also in Organizational Development (OD). Conducting research and publication of the findings is another regular activity of PDTC.

Resource Bank : Along with its in-house competent training team, where ever necessary, Bala Vikasa involves highly competent external resource persons from its network of Development Training Institutions, NGOs, Development consultants at national and international levels, for conducting effective training programs

Modern Infrastructure: The Center is in an elegant architecturally and aesthetically designed campus surrounded by lush green lawns and a galaxy of institutions. The center is built with modern facilities, equipment and furniture to cater to the training needs of grass root to national and international participants. The facilities are provided at a very economical cost to the NGOs, corporate organizations and other institutions for conducting their own training programs.
