The best gift a grandpa can think of for his grandson:

Mr.Calude Cecyre, gifted a borewell to the people of R.S.Nagar slum in Warangal Town, on the occasion of the first Birthday of his grandson David Cecyre. Mr. Claude, who hails from Gatineau, was touched by the need of the people, when he visited the slum as part of the exposure visits organized by Bala Vikasa this November. After talking to a few people in the slum he understood that women and children suffered much due to lack of water for drinking and domestic use. In a quick response, he donated Rs.35,000 towards the drinking water project.

A bore well was dug and a hand pump was installed within a week’s time and was inaugurated on November 24th, 2011, much to the joy of 250 households of R.S.Nagar slum. Speaking on the occasion, the overjoyed Claude told people in the slum, ‘my grandson will be able to understand how unique this gift is when he is able to visit India and see this project in the slum, he will then feel proud of this grandfather’s gift.’
