CDD training in Bangladesh makes an impact

Week long training in ‘Community Driven Development’ (CDD) was organized by ‘Bala Vikasa-PDTC’ at Dhaka in Bangladesh from 12th to 18th December 2011. The training had made an impact on the 26 development professionals from 15 NGOs. Some of the prominent NGOs that were represented at the training were BRAC, CARE, VERC, CRP, CDD etc. All the participants appreciated the innovative approaches and methodologies learned and expressed that these lessons would be of immense help in empowering the grassroot communities.
The CDD training covered topics on ‘Asset Based Community Development’, Appreciative Inquiry, Strategic Planning, Result Based Management and Conflict Resolution. The program was organized in collaboration with VERC, Bangladesh at their premises at Savar near Dhaka City. This is the second outreach training program of Bala Vikasa conducted in Bangladesh as the previous one was organized in March 2011.
