Mrs. Bala Theresa Singareddy Gingras with the help of her husband-Andre Gingras and their friends starts an NGO called SOPAR in Gatineau, P.Q, Canada, with the intention of helping the poor in India. |

SOPAR gets registered and takes up development programs to help poor in A.P., through Warangal Diocesan Society and other diocesan societies in India. |

1990 |
SOPAR opens it's office in India with the name "Bala Vikasa" |

1991 |
Bala Vikasa gets registered as "Bala Vikasa Social Service Society". |

1992 |
Bala Vikasa purchases an office building and obtains FCRA number. |

Bala Vikasa counts 15 partner NGOs. Besides being the donor, starts to implement the Development Programs. |

Initiates women development program in 4 areas. |

Bala Vikasa implements the women development program with the collaboration of 18 women congregations |

Bala Vikasa creates an NGO called "Raithu Vikasa Sangam" to serve uniquely the farmer communities in A.P. Bala Vikasa counts 67 women program areas in 16 districts of A.P. |

SOPAR hands over the management responsibility of Bala Vikasa to Warangal Diocese. |

1999 |
Bala Vikasa hands over the responsibility of 26 women program areas to its Partner NGO St. Ann's SSS, Guntur. |

2000 |
Bala Vikasa starts an Information Technology Training Center (ITC) and starts to give IT related courses. Initiates Watershed program. |

2001 |
Bala Vikasa establishes its People Development Training Center. (PDTC) and initiates Capacity building courses to Agents of change. |

2002 |
TP Block is added to Bala Vikasa PDTC. |

2003 |
SOPAR Silver Jubilee Block (Subedari) is added as an extension to Bala Vikasa PDTC. Bala Vikasa counts 42 Partner organizations. Hands over the responsibility of 30 women program areas to its Partner Associations: FMMSSS, JMJ-Guntur, JMJ-Hyd and JMJ-Bangalore. |

Bala Vikasa initiates Water Purification Program, Diploma course in CBD and BA in CBD. Hands-over the responsibility of 8 women program areas to Fathima Trust. |

Bala Vikasa creates Bala Vikasa Trust to give special attention to its Education program for Orphans and Semi Orphans. |

2006 |
Bala Vikasa hands over 11 women program areas to its partner org. CSASSS. |

2007 |
Bala Vikasa counts 48 partner organizations. Bala Vikasa and Sopar sign MOU indicating their lasting relationship. MSW couching classes are initiated. |
