Delivering water at door steps in 460 villages through Over Head Tanks

TThe Over Head Tank (OHT) projects are providing water at the door steps of individual houses of the target community. The water stored in the over head tanks is distributed daily at regular timings convenient to the people of the respective project village.

The community is motivated to contribute 15% of the project cost and entrusted with total responsibility of operation and maintenance of the tank. The local Gram Panchyaths are playing very supportive role in ensuring the smooth functioning of these projects.

Bala Vikasa has constructed tanks with different capacities of water storage, such as 40,000, 60,000 100,000 and 200,000 liters, in accordance with the size of the target community population.
